The Car Crash Detection system picks up when car crashes have occurred. It comprises of a Raspberry PI, IOT sensor and a mobile application.
The collected information is sent from the PI to the mobile app. The app then retrieves and alerts an emergency contact saved by in a database.
The user signs up to the mobile app creating a unique account. In the mobile app, they save their emergency contact(s) and the car they want to connect to in case a crash occurs. If the grove sensor picks up a car crash, it feeds this information back to the mobile app. The app then sounds an alarm to warn the driver that a message is about to be sent to their emergency contacts. If the alarm is not turned off after a certain length of time, a message is sent to the emergency contact with the drivers location, alerting them that a crash has occurred.
Millions of crashes happen every year, why not build something that will lead to faster emergency responses.
