The purpose of my project was to look at how higher levels of education impact the average salary earned in each county in Ireland and to answer the question: is it worth it, financially, to pursue higher education?
This analysis was based off of each level of education after secondary school and it took a look at what someone could expect based on the county that they reside in and their gender. The data was obtained from the 2016 census data from Central Statistics Office of Ireland and was imported into R Studio. I created an interactive interface of the map of Ireland where the user can choose the gender and level of education obtained to visualise the data using a coloured scaling scheme.
The objective of the analysis was to shed light on counties that may fall behind on higher education in Ireland to start a conversation on why and what could be done to remedy it.

I moved to Ireland nearly 7 years ago from the US and decided to pursue my degree in computer science with NCI as I always had a passion for technology.
My interest in computers started with gaming and developed into building PC's and coding in high school.
I have worked in various technical positions, from PC clean-up and repair, to video-conferencing support, to technical support for a cloud based electronic signature company where I've been for going on six years now.
In my current role I assist customers that are using the companies' API and SDK's, as well as writing technical articles that are published to assist developers.
I'm very happy with where I am now and I plan to learn as much where I can now, with thoughts of someday possibly moving on to engineering.
