FixIt is an android application to enable County councils manage traffic light maintenance. The idea of the application is a niche online management app designed for the local county councils where employers can assign employees job inspections throughout the week/month to maintain traffic lights in Dublin.

I extracted traffic light location data from Smart Dublin and imported it into Firebase. The data was parsed using Java code to create readable lists and map pins for the data set. Users can access the data to select traffic light that is due for 6 months scheduled inspection.

The application includes a structured checklist to be completed by the maintenance user and also requires a photo image and a signature to sign off on the completed maintenance. The FixIt application can be used as a self-service ticketing system or as a managed system where administrators assign tickets two maintenance personnel.
