Project Overview
Home Cloud is a private cloud application that is hosted and deployed with a Raspberry Pi 4. It is aimed at anyone who wants to store their data at home but simultaneously may need to access it at any time e.g. Student: notes, assignments or media content. Simply register and login and you will be able to upload and download documents anytime the raspberry Pi is on.
Instead of using traditional cloud services such as Dropbox or Google drive. Home Cloud is a cloud platform that is deployed from the comfort of your own home and can be connected to any computer or smart device over an internet connection.
Home Cloud will not have monthly fees like the main stream cloud platforms and will only be limited by the amount of storage on the Raspberry Pi.
This idea came about when my dad ran out of storage on his phone and didn't want to pay the monthly fees or put personal content and documents in foreign data centres.
