With people retuning to office post Covid period, companies may find they have more employees than desks. Hotdesking refers to the practise of multiple people sharing the same physical workspace. My Smart Hotdesking app aims to deliver a hotdesking experience that takes the effort out of booking a desk at your company.
A user creates an account and selects their desired approach to work – always, sometimes or almost never in the office. Then the user can opt to allow the auto scheduler to book an available desk on different days based on how often the user wants to be in office to collaborate in person.
Features include suggesting suitable booking times in the office based on traffic and weather forecasts. The app uses a dummy company with a limited number of desks to show the functionality of the hotdesking system.

Interned at Workday in 2021 as a DevOps engineer, on the Extend platform. Developed and delivered a Cost Control tool that allowed the DevOps for Extend team to better use their cloud technology, saving the team and company money every month after its implementation.
Also created a live dashboard which tracked how many untagged resources were in cloud accounts over time, allowing the team to better monitor and control spending. Gained experience in Terraform, Bash scripting, multiple AWS technologies and Golang.
Also gained valuable experience as the Dublin team scrum master for most of my internship, organised intern events and worked well with colleagues inside and outside of my team. I will be returning to Workday as an Associate Software Engineer in September in 2022.
