My aim for this project was to prove my hypothesis that extreme weather conditions can have an effect on both the tourism and hospitality industry in a given region.
To do this I took a look at data from the National Climate Data Center (NCDC) and correlated it with data related to the tourism and hospitality sector.
I used the location and date for a given area to study the correlation between the weather datasets and the tourism datasets. This was done in order to see if extreme weather has an adverse effect in regions that have an economy that relies heavily on tourism.
I have designed and implemented a Data Warehouse to store the data that was gathered for this project and to assist in the querying and display of data and results.
